I reign victorious

Haven't been blogging much lately as we've the Tasmanian Devils of home maintenance around here in a whirlwind effort to spruce up before the snows arrive. But I can't pass up the opportunity to polish my crown as the reigning queen of the Craigslist.com castaway sweepstakes.

Many of you may remember peeling your chins off of the ground as I walked away with cash money from the sale of my Volvo dinosaur last year.

Well, I have raised the stakes: last week, a dude named John came to collect my four rooms of rust-orange carpet, a good 1200 square feet or so of rather unpleasantly soiled shag, which he stuffed in a mini-van and carted away. To which I promptly did the end-zone dance all over the now blissfully bared floors of the apartment. Because John, bless his soul, has saved us from weeks of cutting up that carpet into tiny little pieces and squirreling them away into our trashcans, sneaking them underneath and in-between bags of legit "household" trash hoping that we can stay in the good graces of our trash men.
